Marina moved to Australia in 2006 after growing up in Brazil and Spain and is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. She graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and started working at Cannington Physiotherapy in early 2018. Marina has recently completed her strength and conditioning accreditation and is currently studying for a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University. Marina has previously worked as a massage therapist and enjoys using soft tissue release techniques and dry needling as part of her treatment. Marina is also one of Cannington Physiotherapy’s PES (physio exercise session) instructors.
Away from work, Marina is an avid cyclist who has recently completed the Tour of Margaret River and will continue to compete in cycling events next year. Marina also has a long-standing interest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai having trained in these sports for a number of years. She uses her knowledge of full-contact sports in developing programs for both injury rehabilitation and prevention.
